1st poem: Walk a little slower... 

A child feels safe in the hands of parents. It is said that mother is the first school of a kid. Children learn so many things in the company of their parent. The poem is a talk of a son who want to learn things from his father. He consider his father as his role model. so he asks him to walk slower then he can follow him, learn from him and finally would become one like him.

Walk a little slower ...

‘Walk a little slower, Daddy,’

Said a little child so small.

‘I’m following in your footsteps

And I don’t want to fall.

‘Sometimes your steps are very fast,

Sometimes they are hard to see; So, walk a little slower, Daddy,

For you are leading me.’

 ‘Some day when I’m all grown up,

You’re what I want to be;

Then I will have a little child

Who’ll want to follow me.

‘And I would want to lead just right,

And know that I was true;

So walk a little slower, Daddy,

For I must follow you.’
