This proverb is about doing things well in time. In this proverb cloth and stitches are used to emphasize on the importance of timely steps taken. If we see cloth start tearing and if we stitch it while it is just starting to tear. We have to work on small torn parts, but if we don't stitch that in the beginning the cloth will tear more. With the passing time, it will tear more and more. It will become difficult to stitch it as it was in the beginning. Similarly in life also, if we see some difficulty, we should try to correct it as soon as possible. Otherwise, it will become more difficult to correct it. Students having problems in studies should ask and be clear about it well before the examination. This will save them from trouble in life and examination. Errors are easier to correct in the initial stages. Thus try to correct things in time. Make decisions in time and get benefited.
